People don’t arrive in our workplaces as a blank slate; they have already been influenced by their early experiences with media, education, family and the societal systems around us. This means they have underlying assumptions about themselves and others.
In this session, we’ll dive into the concept of cultural interception in our organisations– an intentional effort to disrupt stereotypes and challenge social conditioning before they become entrenched biases in the workplace.
Our panel will explore how the narratives we form early in life shape perceptions of inclusion, and the impact this has on how we show up at work.
But what does this mean for employers? How can organisations move from simply recognising these biases to actively intercepting them in recruitment, leadership, culture and decision-making?
Diversity Sessions are interactive online conversations designed to deepen our understanding of inclusion issues affecting our organisations and our people.
