As Aotearoa becomes increasingly diverse, cultural intelligence is an essential capability for creating inclusive workplaces.

While cultural competence often focuses on developing knowledge of a specific culture, cultural intelligence is the ability to work effectively across a wide range of cultural backgrounds, stories, perspectives and experiences. It starts with understanding our own cultural lens, approaching differences with curiosity and humility, and adapting how we communicate, collaborate, and lead.

In our November Diversity Session, we'll explore what cultural intelligence looks like in the unique context of Aotearoa New Zealand. Our panel will discuss how organisations can honour te Tiriti o Waitangi while also building confidence and capability to engage respectfully with the many cultures that make up our workforce and communities today.

Diversity Sessions are interactive online conversations designed to deepen our understanding of inclusion issues affecting our organisations and our people.
